New limited edition bead mixes

You may have heard me silently weeping a few months ago when one of my favorite bead vendors decided the time had come to close up shop. There have been so many significant changes in the bead world over the last few years, and this one hit hard!

But I forced myself to think quickly and buy as much of his product as I could. One of the very unique items he offered were a myriad of different Czech glass bead mixes. We’ve been carrying 27 different mixes, but I hurriedly swept up all his other options, and now we have a whopping 56 different versions of them!

And here’s the thing. These were all personally imported and mixed at this vendor’s warehouse, so when I sell out of these mixes, there will be no more! Even if they were continuing to be made, the prices would have had to increase since all bead prices are increasing around the world due to additional materials, manufacturing, and shipping costs. But the price on these were locked in at the OLD PRICES! (I’m patting myself on the back for this!)

Last time I visited him, I created 4 custom mixes by myself – and I’m finally adding those to the website too!! Everyone went nuts over this ocean vibes one I made when I shared this photo on Facebook back then! Can’t you feel the cool breezes?

It was quite the process for these mixes to be created. Basically the vendor bought tons (literally, tons of beads) of every color bead under the rainbow from the Czech Republic and had them shelved in bins in his warehouse. To make a mix, they would go to the shelves and pick beads in the right colors, take a few generous scoops, and put them in a large plastic tub. Repeat until the mix is “just right.” And then mix and shake!! It took a large inventory of beads to be able to make all these mix combos, and it was a unique process for sure! I hope you’ll enjoy using the remaining mix stock as much as I have been.

Just look at the gorgeous jewelry we made as a family project last weekend! All these pieces were created by myself, Mom, and my 15 year old niece. We used two bags of each color, and there were still a bunch left over!! You’ll definitely see me wearing these in videos and photos in the future!

Find the mixes here – you’ll definitely find one (or two…or three…) you love!

    Dear Jill.
I know I am not alone in the UK, in wishing we could purchase from you. Your products are of such good quality and reasonable prices and great choice too. I certainly feel as though I am missing out on them! I know in one of your warehouse tour videos, you said you would sort out the shipping to the UK. Please can you give me an idea of when this may happen? I would love to purchase some of your gorgeous supplies, but cannot possibly pay the horrendous customs charges I was landed with on the one and only time I’ve purchased from you. Many thanks for looking into this.

When I resume shipping to the UK, you’ll still be responsible for customs charges. That’s your government that applies those charges – it has nothing to do with us. Sorry. Jill
