We are a mother and daughter team (June is the mother) working and living together in the Austin, Texas area. We just love beads. Looking at them. Fondling them. Organizing them. Reorganizing them. And obviously, beading and designing with them.

We have Wisconsin roots, but have lived in Texas for more than 40 years. That still makes us Yankees around here. We escape to cooler climates whenever we can.

June retired from her day job in 2012 and continues to work for Jill Wiseman Designs. She is known as “The Employee of the Month/Year/Decade”. Her employee benefits include harassing the boss and getting away with it, the first pick of the beads, and leaving early if she so desires.

Jill escaped her day job in 2002 and has been designing and teaching ever since. She traded traveling all over the world for teaching the world on YouTube via her YouTube channel. She sells thousands of beads on her Jill Wiseman Designs website. The woman has never met a bead she didn’t want to acquire and regularly proves it. She walks into her giant warehouse full of beads every day now, incredibly grateful for this beady world of which she is a small part.

Our fur baby, Poppy, is part of the family, too! She used to hate coming to the warehouse, but in her older age, she decided she likes having all the staff and delivery drivers adoring her, so she’s also part of the JWD Team!

Our goals are to bring you great new designs and great products and to make beading easy and fun. How many times have you wanted to make a bracelet or necklace but didn’t have exactly the right color or size of seed beads? If you’re like us, it happens all the time! With a kit, you’ll have everything you need to complete the project – all the beads, needles, thread, and instructions. And if you need the beads and materials, we have that too!

Are you a beginning beader? We specialize in helping beginners get started. We will never tell you to do something without giving you clear instructions, diagrams, and/or photos to help you. Our necklace and bracelet pages designate which projects we recommend for beginners. We also provide “tech support” if you get stuck.

We’re working hard to keep our prices as low as possible and to make beading affordable for everyone. At Jill Wiseman Designs, you have options. You can purchase:
