How to Shop the Live Sales!

I’m so enjoying doing the weekly Live Sales, and it’s definitely something we’re going to continue to do and expand on! We’re getting new shoppers each week, so I want to give you guys a place where you can find specific instructions on how and where to shop the Live Sales.

There are 3 locations you can watch the Live stream:

Your shopping experience will be a little different in each location, so below I have a cheat sheet for each one! There is also info that’s true for every shopping experience regarding Waitlists, Shipping, and Questions (in Green) at the bottom, so keep scrolling!

How to Shop the Live Sale on jwdlive.com

Log In

  • When getting ready to shop the Live Sale on the website, please go ahead and log into your account before you start shopping by clicking the person icon at the top right.
  • If you still need to create an account, click the person icon, and then on the next page at the bottom of the login info is a link to register.
  • This is a different website than jillwisemandesigns.com, and your login from that site will not work on the jwdlive.com website or app. You need a new account for the Live Sales.

Watching the Live Stream
Once the Live stream begins it will pop up right on the top of the page. There is also a red banner across the top indicating We Are Live!

Comments
Depending on the size of your computer screen, the viewer comments may be on the side of the video, or somewhere else on the screen.

Shopping

  • The current item being shown is at the top of the center column (again, depending on the size of your screen.) To add it to your cart, click View Product. That takes you to the product details and you can add it to your cart there, as well as adjust the quantity you’d like to add. This will NOT take you away from the video stream.
  • You can also click the Sold banner at the top of the video to get to the screen where you can add that item to your cart. (This is my favorite way.)
  • Below the current item, it shows you the list of items that have already been shown on the video stream and you can add any of them to your cart or your waitlist the same way.

**On an iPad**

  • The comments will show across the bottom 1/3 of the screen. There is no way to remove them.
  • To add an item to your cart, tap Shop All at the bottom left of the screen to pull up the list of items that have shown so far on the Live. Tap any of them to add it to your cart, and you can edit the quantity as you do so.
  • To add the current item being shown to your cart you can do the same as above, OR, tap the Sold banner at the top to open up the screen where you can add it to your cart.

How to Shop the Live Sale on the App

Log In

  • When getting ready to shop the Live Sale on the App, please go ahead and log into your account before you start shopping by tapping the person icon at the bottom right. Once you enter your email, the button below says Get Started instead of Login, but tap it anyway. Then it will ask for your password.
  • If you still need to register for an account, the App will prompt you to do so. While it shows you can Continue As Guest, we don’t recommend it because it can sometimes not save your cart as you shop. Registering is super quick and painless!
  • This is a different website than jillwisemandesigns.com, and your login from that site will not work on the jwdlive.com website or app. You need a new account for the Live Sales.

Watching the Live Stream
Once the Live stream begins, you will see a red banner at the bottom of the screen that says, “We are live, tap to join us!” Tap it to bring up the live video.

Comments
Viewer comments will show across the bottom of the screen.

  • To turn them off, swipe across the comments to the left.
  • If you want to bring them back, swipe across the bottom of the screen to the right.

Shopping

  • On the bottom left of the screen, there is a Shop button. If you tap the button, it will bring up a list of items being shown on the Live video. This shows up on the bottom 1/3 of the screen and will not take you away from the video.
  • You can scroll through all the items that have been shown up to that point, and if you want to purchase one, tap it – this gives you the opportunity to add it to your cart. If it is sold out, it will give you the option to add it to your waitlist. Use the back arrow on the left to exit that screen.
  • You can tap the SOLD banner at the top of the screen, and that also will let you add an item to your cart or waitlist. Again, you will use the back arrow to exit that screen.
  • To get rid of the shop screen, just tap on the video portion of the screen.
  • When you are ready to checkout, tap the cart icon at the top right of the screen and follow the instructions.

How to Shop the Live Sale on the Jill Wiseman Designs Facebook Page

Watching the Live Stream

  • Once the Live stream begins, it will appear on the Jill Wiseman Designs Facebook page. You may need to refresh the page on your browser for it to show up.
  • If you click the video screen, it will enlarge the video for viewing and you can still see the viewer comments/conversation on the right.

Register/Log In

  • Once the Live stream begins, if you are watching on Facebook, please comment REGISTER. This will have the Jill Wiseman Designs page send you a message in Messenger.
  • Click the button in the message to confirm your account.
  • Please do this before every sale to be sure items load into your cart properly.

Shopping

  • As items are shown on the Live stream, you’ll see a banner across the top with the word Comment: Sold (A, or other letter)
  • To add that item to your cart, you’ll type in a comment with sold and then the letter assigned to that item. Example: Sold A
  • If you want to add more than 1 of an item, you’ll comment: Sold A 3
    That puts 3 of item A in your cart.
  • Even though putting an item in your cart triggers a Messenger message with a Pay Now button, you don’t have to check out until you are finished shopping at the end. Once an item is put in your cart it is saved for you for 4 hours.

Checking out

Please go to Messenger and click on one of the Pay Now links that the Jill Wiseman Designs page has sent you.

Waitlists

  • If the item is already sold out, it will put you on the waitlist for the item.
    • People have 4 hours after they add an item to their cart to change their minds about it, so often waitlist items become available after the show.
    • If you are next on the waitlist and an item becomes available, it will automatically get added to your cart and you will be notified.
    • You’ll have 24 hours to complete the purchase for that waitlist item before it goes to the next person on the waitlist.
    • Sometimes I can purchase more of that item – even months later – and if you’re on the waitlist, you’ll get notification when it’s back in stock and first opportunity to purchase it.

Shipping

  • Shipping is $4.99 and is free for orders over $50.
  • Once you have qualified for free shipping, any additional orders you place for 24 hours are also free.
  • If you have multiple orders, we are happy to combine them and refund any extra shipping charges. (We start shipping Live orders Monday, so you have the whole weekend if you’ve shopped a Friday Live.)
  • We can also combine Live Sale orders with orders placed at jillwisemandesigns.com so you can get free shipping in both locations with a minimum $50 order.
  • It is helpful for us if you leave a comment on your jillwisemandesigns.com order that you also have a Live order. We try to catch them all, but this will ensure that we combine yours and refund any extra shipping charges.

Shopping Before or After a Live

All the items with remaining quantity from previous Live Sales are available for purchase at any time on jwdlive.com. You can shop it like a regular website! Just remember that your jillwisemandesigns.com website login won’t work on the Live site. You’ll need to register for a jwdlive.com account to shop there.
